For university students

It's free and easy to become a member and start contributing. Membership is open to students from any faculty (not just engineering) and both girls and guys are welcome. Join Robogals Melbourne online to receive our email updates about what we are doing and when. Also join our Facebook group Robogals Melbourne.

After training you will have the opportunity to go out to schools and teach students LEGO robotics. We will organise the lesson times and dates, all you have to do is tell us you are available. Teaching is a great way to improve your presentation skills, this is also a wonderful opportunity for Education students seeking experience in the classroom.

Engineers in Schools: Speakers Program

Robogals has been successful in establishing a relationship with Engineers Australia- Victoria!

One exciting project that we will be collaborating on is the "Engineers in Schools:  Speakers Progamme" where you will have the opportunity to learn "Presenting Skills" at the Engineers Australia - Victoria offices by a professional facilitator. Following training, you may have the opportunity to go out to schools and share with school kids your experiences at university as an engineering student!

This is a great opportunity to boost your resume with professional skills and a great networking opportunity!

FIRST LEGO League Mentor/Judge

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is a global program created to get children excited about science and technology. A hands-on program for ages 9 to 16, FLL uses Challenges based on real world scientific problems to engage children in research, problem solving, and engineering.

We are looking for volunteers to mentor teams and be judges at FLL.

Mentors work with teams of students to give advice and guidance on different ways to approach a task. If you like to solve problems then this is for you! Mentors will be matched with a team and can begin straight away.

Judges are required to score teams based on their performance at FLL. Due to a conflict of interest mentors may not judge all aspects of FLL.

This is a unique and rewarding experience for those who can commit.
